1st Waldridge Fell Scout Group has been operating in the Chester le Street area for over 30 years. We are a Scout Group with Beavers, Cubs and Scouts sections meeting weekly during school term time. Beavers & Scouts run back-to-back on a Monday evening, while Cubs runs on a Tuesday evening. We meet at the Scout Hut behind the old Empower Building next to Newker Primary school off Waldridge Road.
Adventure is at the heart of everything we do. Our small Scout Group aims to provide a safe and fun environment for children aged 6-14 years old to learn valuable life skills, build friendships, and develop a sense of community. We offer a range of activities and the opportunity to experience new challenges that enrich their lives and promote personal growth, physical fitness, creativity, leadership, teamwork and social development. Our goal is to create a sustainable and financially viable resource that can serve the needs of young people and our local community for years to come.
If you are a parent who would like your son or daughter to join our Scout Group please complete our registration form or contact Kieren Stephenson, our GSL, at gsl@1stwaldridgefellscouts.org.uk or Claire Gowdy, our Chair at chair@1stwaldridgefellscouts.org.uk to discuss Scouting opportunities further. We are always looking for adults who wish to train to become a leader to deliver exciting and adventurous programmes for young people, or if would like to volunteer in other ways please contact us to discuss opportunities available.
