Scout achieves the highest Scouts Award – Chief Scout’s Gold Award
Posted on 17th December 2023 by Claire Gowdy
The end of our Winter term saw Sian complete her Chief Scout’s Gold award after nearly 4 years of hard work, dedication & fun. This is the highest award a Scout can earn. To earn it, she completed all nine challenge awards: Outdoor, Adventure, Skills, Personal, Teamwork, Team Leader, Expedition, World, Creative. Activities include eight nights camping and scout craft, taking part in three adventurous activities being part of and leading teams, a personal challenge, a two-day expedition, creative and skills activities such as model making or taking part in a performance and activities that require problem-solving skills. She also needed to complete at least six activity badges. She has a few weeks left at Scouts, including a Winter Camp, to share her skills and knowledge to our newer Scouts before moving up to Explorers in early 2024.
It is an important milestone & shows that anything is possible when you put your mind to it. You should feel proud of everything you’ve achieved. Congratulations Sian.
