1st Waldridge Fell Scout Group lead the Childrens Lantern Parade in Durham

On 2-Dec-23 our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts had the honour of leading the Children’s Lantern Parade. With our lit lanterns we followed the Chester-le-Street Salvation Army Band from the Market Place up the hill to Palace Green and into Durham Cathedral to take part in the St Nicholas Service. We even got some snow flurries on the way up to the Cathedral to add to the Christmassy feeling.
This Parade is a highlight of the Durham Christmas Festival that was taking place over the whole weekend.
