JOTT
Posted on 12th May 2025 by Claire Gowdy
Jamboree on the Trail this year took place on the 10th of May and was a free event our District organised. Our brilliant Centurions helped to support the Districts Scouts in hiking from Burnmoor Scouting Centre to Moorhouse Scouting Adventure Centre where the Pete Swinney County Event was taking place.
The hike was challenging with the great weather we had, but our Cubs did us proud with how well they managed to set the pace with our Group leading the Trail. The hike was setup with riddles our cubs had to solve on the trail and to everyone’s delight for every solved riddle sticker badges were awarded! These riddles also gave us a moments rest bite allowing for hydration and glucose hits before we moved on. We also adopted a Cub from another group for the hike, and we were super proud of how welcoming our Cubs were to the honorary member of 1st Waldridge Fell, showing that all Groups can support each other in a pinch!
