Young Leader training
Posted on 27th January 2023 by Tony Brewis
Explorer Scout Young Leaders (ESYLs) undertake 11 modules as part of their training.
Are you thinking about becoming an Explorer Scout Young Leader or are you an adult volunteer leading a section with Young Leaders? If so, please follow this link for a short introductory course courtesy of our colleagues in Hampshire Scouts.
Note: both ESYLs and Young Leaders volunteering from outside of scouting must complete module A within 3 months.
The modules are designed to be flexible and encourage innovation! You can attend a face to face course, or thanks to our colleagues in Hampshire Scouts, you can now do most modules online at a time that you choose.
Module A – Prepare for take-off (essentials and expectations) (we run this as a face to face course in our district 2-3 times per year or you can click on the link to do this as an online course)
Module B – Taking the lead (we run this on a weekend face to face course in our county 1-2 times per year or you can click on the link to do this as an online course)
