Cubs achieve the highest award – Chief Scout’s Silver Award

Posted on 23rd November 2023 by Tony Brewis

After over two years of hard work and fun, our Cubs Cameron and Jacob have achieved their Chief Scout’s Silver Award.  They have showed great enthusiasm for all the activities they’ve taken part in to achieve this award.  This is the highest award a Cub can earn. To earn it, they needed complete all of the seven challenge awards, as well as any six activity or staged badges.  The Chief Scout’s Silver Award shows that they have given new things a go, played their part and stuck it out, even when the going got tough.  The Challenge Awards are designed to help them step out of their comfort zone and try new things, while the Activity badges helped them explore their interests and skills in a fun way.  By earning the Chief Scout’s Silver Award they have developed skills in teamwork and leadership, had the chance to try new adventurous activities and all the fun of a night away from home.

They have a few months left at Cubs to share their skills and knowledge to our newer Cubs before moving up to Scouts in early 2024.

It’s a really big achievement, and you should be proud of yourselves.  Congratulations to you both.
