District Cub Camp 2018

Posted on 18th February 2018 by Tony Brewis

We have a fantastic 2 day activity camp in place for Chester-le-Street District Cubs over the weekend of 12th-13th May.
 .
Leaders and helpers (with the help of District Centurions Explorers) will be setting up camp from 6pm on Friday 11th, and some networking will take place for those wishing to stay overnight.
 .
Cub Packs taking part in the County Pete Swinney Cubs Competition (a fun orienteering challenge for Cub Scout teams) will arrive around noon on Saturday 12th May (for the Pete Swinney event starting with a game around 1pm) – full details of the event and how to book will be posted on Durham Scouts nearer to the event.
 .
Once other Cub Packs from the County leave, Chester-le-Street Cub Packs will have an evening of fun activities together (with Cub Packs catering in their own groups).
 .
On Sunday 13th May, the Cubs are inviting Beavers from across the District to arrive on campsite at 0930 am to take part in their Jamboree on the Trail (the same weekend where hundreds of thousands of Scouting members take part in walks and exploration around the world). The Beaver Scout walk will take approx 1 hour and the Cubs Jamboree on the Trail walk will take approx 1 1/2 hours.
 .
Cub Packs can arrange their own departure time from lunchtime onwards.
 .
